About Us

FAKE GOODS was born from the back alleys, corner stores, bootleg DVD shops, and counterfeit markets that defined a forgotten era of New York City. Inspired by the late ‘90s and early 2000s—when streetwear wasn’t a global industry but a local language—FAKE GOODS pays tribute to the hustlers, skaters, artists, and outsiders who built culture from the sidewalk up.

Before luxury brands chased street credibility, kids were creating their own. Canal Street sold knockoffs, mixtapes changed hands for cash, and every neighborhood had its own uniform. Authenticity wasn’t about price tags—it was about attitude.

FAKE GOODS exists in that space between real and fake. Between original and bootleg. Between aspiration and reality. We take inspiration from the graphics, typography, bootleg merchandise, underground skate videos, street photography, and DIY mentality that shaped an entire generation.

No nostalgia. No reenactment. Just a continuation of the same spirit.

FAKE GOODS.

You can trust us.
